Ramil Asadulzade, SOCAR România CEO, is at the center of a scandal involving an alleged "workplace romance" and serious tax evasion accusations. The story, covered by Romanian media, details his affair with an HR director and raises questions about his contract and reported involvement in a 100 million euro tax scheme. The controversy highlights reputational risks for SOCAR's leadership and business operations.

The CEO of SOCAR România, Ramil Asadulzade, has found himself at the center of a major scandal. The Romanian publication Cancan reported on his "workplace romance" with the company's Human Resources Director, Bibiana Constantin.

The article about the scandalous story is accompanied by numerous photos.

According to the publication, journalists documented how the 37-year-old Asadulzade left the office of SOCAR PETROLEUM SA in Bucharest and, driving a company Audi Q7, headed to a parking lot near the IKEA shopping center in the Băneasa district. There, he was met by Bibiana Constantin, who had also arrived in a company Skoda Kodiaq.

After a short stop, the woman moved to the back seat of Asadulzade's car. In a hurry, the woman forgot a bag with a bottle of wine in her own car and returned for it a few minutes later. The couple then went to Club Snagov, where they sat at a table on the terrace. A long lunch followed, which lasted until dinner, with wine, numerous gestures of affection, and kisses.

Asadulzade and Constantin then went up to a hotel room at the club, where, according to witnesses, they spent about five hours.

Upon leaving the club, Asadulzade handed the key to the reception, while his companion tried to leave the hotel discreetly. However, on their way to the car, they no longer hid their relationship, holding hands and kissing. On the way back to Bucharest, Constantin did not hide in the back seat but sat in the front, next to Asadulzade.

The publication notes that the CEO of SOCAR România is married, lives in Bucharest with his wife near the American School, and will now have to explain to her not only the episode with Bibiana but also other personal stories. Specifically, it refers to Ramona, Asadulzade's former secretary, who is raising a child.

Asadulzade was appointed CEO of SOCAR PETROLEUM SA, having previously served as the company's financial director in Romania. His contract is valid until January 2027, but, according to Cancan, the situation could change.

The publication notes that in recent years, Asadulzade has allegedly been involved in oil operations through the company JETFLY HUB Ploiești, together with businessman Dan Berendel, who controls the firm JETFLY HUB SRL through an offshore company in Dubai. According to the publication, this involves a tax evasion scheme worth over 100 million euros, which is currently under investigation.

Thus, a scandal is flaring up around SOCAR România, in which business matters are intertwined with stories of an adulterous nature. The reputational risks for the company and its management are increasing amid the ongoing investigations, and the story itself has become a subject of discussion in both business and social circles. The CEO of SOCAR România, Ramil Asadulzade, has found himself at the center of a major scandal.
