Azerbaijan may reduce the number of classes with instruction in Russian

Azerbaijani Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev has allowed for a reduction in the number of classes with instruction in Russian.

“The main problem is the shortage of teachers for the Russian sector. Therefore, the number of classes with instruction in Russian may be reduced,” the minister told local journalists.

There are institutions where the educational process is built, including using the Russian language.

Earlier, Azerbaijani officials announced the existence of a Russian sector in more than 300 comprehensive schools in the country.
