Azerbaijan supports Palestine without Hamas

Azerbaijan supported the creation of a Palestinian government without Hamas at the UN.

Azerbaijan voted to adopt the UN General Assembly declaration, which supports the creation of a Palestinian government free of Hamas.

The document, approved by a majority vote, enshrines the need for an immediate end to the war in the Gaza Strip and calls for the deployment of a temporary international stabilization mission under the mandate of the UN Security Council. The declaration also reaffirms the course towards a two-state solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
