The smuggling of a large consignment of narcotics into the country was prevented

On August 15, in the area of responsibility of the Lankaran border detachment of the State Border Service, a violation of the state border from the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Azerbaijan was prevented.

As a result of the operational and investigative activities, narcotics with a total weight of 40 kilograms 900 grams (37 kg 900 grams of marijuana, 3 kg of opium) and 5,000 M-40 methadone tablets containing narcotic substances were discovered and seized.
