The price of heating in Azerbaijan has been increased by approximately half.

Specifically, the Tariff Council of Azerbaijan, led by Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov, has amended the decision of December 29, 2024, "On the Regulation of Tariffs for 'Azeristiliktechizat' (Azerbaijan Heat Supply) Services."

The heating service tariff for the public has been raised from 14.6 manats ($8.59 USD) to 21 manats ($12.35 USD) per 1 Gcal, including VAT. This represents a 43.8% increase. If a meter is not installed, the monthly fee per 1 square meter has been increased from 0.3 manats ($0.176 USD) to 0.45 manats ($0.264 USD), which is a 1.5-fold increase.
