On September 5, Azerbaijani and Armenian delegations, led by their deputy prime ministers, held mutual visits to discuss border delimitation, demining, and infrastructure restoration. These blitz visits aimed to synchronize efforts and plan future meetings. The latest development in bilateral dialogue is a key focus.

On September 5, led by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev and Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Mher Grigoryan, mutual visits of delegations of the two countries took place on the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia, according to the state information agency of Azerbaijan. “In accordance with the agreements reached in Washington on August 8 of this year, the parties discussed issues related to the delimitation and demining of the corresponding sections/segments of the border line, as well as the restoration and construction of the necessary infrastructure and the timing of their implementation with the aim of synchronizing actions in the field of creating communications,” the report further states.

The heads of the delegations exchanged views on organizing the next meeting of the state commissions of the two countries on border delimitation.

The report does not specify exactly where the meetings of the two countries’ delegations took place. However, given the topic of the meetings and their being held on the same day, the delegations “visited” each other in the border territories.
