Azerbaijan's national air carrier, AZAL, is resuming direct flights on a new route, Baku–Tabriz–Baku, starting September 3, 2025.
The airline announced that flights on the Baku–Tabriz–Baku route will operate twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays.
In addition, AZAL will restore flights to the Iranian capital of Tehran starting September 1, 2025. The Baku–Tehran–Baku route will operate four times a week: on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Flights to Iran were suspended in June of this year due to the armed conflict between that country and Israel.
