Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), the national carrier of Azerbaijan, has introduced a new Airbus A320neo passenger aircraft into service, the company's press service reported.
One of the main advantages of the new aircraft is its high-speed internet connection.
The introduction of the new Airbus A320neo will be an important milestone in AZAL's development. These aircraft will help reduce operating costs, strengthen the airline's position in the regional air transport market, and enhance Baku's role as an aviation hub between Europe and Asia, according to the company's statement.
The airline plans to receive another Airbus A320neo in early October. By 2032, AZAL intends to add more than 30 new aircraft to its fleet.
Currently, AZAL's fleet consists of 25 aircraft of various types. At the same time, to accommodate growing passenger traffic, the airline has temporarily leased three Airbus A320 aircraft.
