Russia's Army Destroys SOCAR Terminal in Massive Strike

On the night of August 18, 2025, a massive attack using "Shahed" type drones was launched on a SOCAR oil depot in the Odesa region. The strikes were a series of direct hits, which caused a fire to break out.

The extent of the damage is being determined (an expert assessment has been initiated), and urgent restoration work is underway.

This is the second major attack on the facility. Previously, on August 8, about 10 drones were launched at the same oil depot, causing partial destruction. A criminal case has been opened regarding that incident.
