PFPA member arrested for sharing images of school in dilapidated condition

A member of the Azerbaijan Popular Front Party was arrested for sharing pictures of a school in condition.
Yashar Gasimov, who is a member of the Azerbaijan Popular Front Party shared pictures of a school in the Agatala village of the region that was in bad condition.
He was arrested for 5 days.
The Azerbaijan Popular Front Party says that the police made a report against Yashar Gasimov for being a troublemaker.
We could not confirm this information with the government.
There are 400 schools in the country that are in bad condition.
The Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev said that the number of schools in condition has gone down a lot in the last five years.
He said they plan to fix all the schools in condition in the next six to seven years.
In 2025 they did construction work in 47 schools. Finished 20 of them.
Many members of the Popular Front for Democracy and Human Rights have been arrested in the few years.
Now more than 20 members of the party are in jail for a long time.
The Chairman of the Popular Front for Democracy and Human Rights Ali Karimli is one of them.
The party thinks they were arrested because of their activities.
There are 300 people in jail, in Azerbaijan for political reasons.
The government says that is not true.
They say these people were arrested because they did something not because of their politics.
