Health Crisis for Azerbaijani Activist Tofiq Yaqublu Deepens

Tofiq Yaqublu, a known Azerbaijani activist is going through a very tough time with his health. He is in prison in Azerbaijan. His health is getting worse every day. His daughter, Nigar Hazi is very worried about him. She is asking for help.

Tofiq Yaqublu is 66 years old. He has very bad joint pain. His knee is swollen. He cannot walk without using crutches. His family has tried to help him by giving him a knee brace. The people in charge of the prison will not let him have it. Tofiq Yaqublu has gotten some medicine for the pain. The prison will not let him have the tests he needs to figure out what is wrong with him.

This is not the time Tofiq Yaqublu has had health problems in prison. A while he did not eat for 40 days to protest the fact that he is in prison. This made his health very bad. He says that the charges against him are not true and that he is in prison because he speaks out against the government.
