Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev met with a high-level UAE delegation, including Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, IHC, and IRH leaders, to boost strategic economic ties. The talks focused heavily on green energy, IT, investment, and building a foundation for major regional deals.

On December 6, President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan met with a delegation from the United Arab Emirates, including Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of 2PointZero, and leaders from International Holding Company and International Resources Holding, to talk about growing cooperation.

Sheikh Zayed conveyed greetings from UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the UAE's desire to increase engagement with Azerbaijan across all sectors. President Aliyev mentioned the strategic partnership between the two nations and recalled the UAE President's recent trip to Karabakh, intended to form a base for economic collaboration.

Talks centered on renewable energy, with the UAE as a key partner. Both parties stressed the importance of Azerbaijan-Emirati cooperation for the broader region and discussed ties in political, trade, economic, oil, and gas sectors. They also exchanged views on energy infrastructure, IT, investment and mining. The next step is to see which of these discussions turn into real deals and investments.
